The Month of Anjai

Anjai is my oldest sister-in-law, and for the past 3-4 weeks I've felt like my life revolves around her! Why you ask? Because she had a birthday on August 26th and then on September 14th she GOT MARRIED!!! We've had wedding festivities for 2 weeks now, and I will proceed to share pictures with you. Of the newly named, Mrs. Anjai Abraham (and company).

Anjai's birthday party was a surprise! I love the look on her face, priceless.

Fishers being Fishers.

Friday set-up before the big day! P.S. I hope to not see a tissue paper pom-pom for a loooong time.

The beautification process.

It's clear that he adores me.

There's Teagan with her favorite person, her Papa. I swear he is the only one who can soothe her when she's upset. It's a gift.

Megan (Anjai's BFF) and her husband Tim.

The Mann family.

Mr. and Mrs. Will and Anjai Abraham!!! 09.14.2013

The Portland, OR temple. The most beautiful temple in the world.

Ky on uncle duty.

Anjai wasn't very nice to Will.

Up to no good.

My lovely contribution. Since I don't have any kids yet (nor will I in the foreseeable future); I must live vicariously through my siblings-in-law.

Opening presents the morning after.

Best friends since '96.

Ky eating...

... Ky realizing I took a picture of him eating.

And last but not least, the beautiful bride and handsome groom (and Teagan). Congratulations to the Abrahams, there are many great years to come.

You know you're at BYU when...

So for those of you who don't know, I'm a transfer student from Oregon State University (NOT the Ducks, I came from the "other" school as people so nicely put it) and now attend Brigham Young University. BYU is a church-owned private university; therefore, a lot of funny and great things go one here that did not happen at OSU. I would like to share my top 10 "You know you're at BYU when..." moments with you. Let us commence.

10. Your religion class instructor cries during the opening hymn.

9. You have religion classes as part of the curriculum... and opening hymns.

8. When you sit down in a giant lecture hall, people sit right next to you even though there are a million empty seats.

7. Said person from scenario #8 says "Hi! I'm (insert name here), what's your name? Where are you from?".... every single class.

6. People open the door for one another and say thank you when you open the door for them.

5. Since most of your teachers wrote their own textbooks, they usually include the Savior and an LDS perspective in each chapter.

4. No one knows what Thirsty Thursday is.

3. You hear "when I was on my mission..." every other comment.

2. A nice guy talks to you in lecture, and even provides you with the notes you missed from last week. Then, the following week you say "yeah, and my husband and I..." and he says "wait, you're married?" and he's no longer so nice to you... awkward.

AND MY FAVORITE ONE IS...

1. The restrooms in the Education building (a.k.a. one of the biggest majors in the entire university) have a mother's lounge.

You gotta love BYU, I know I do.
