Snowshoeing and Dancing

Today was an extremely eventful Saturday. We started the day off with some snowshoeing at Stewart Falls. Let me just say that I had originally come to the conclusion that winter hiking was much better than summer hiking. Why you ask? Because I have yet to see 1 bug out when everything is covered in snow. Yeah, I hate bugs that much. My opinion hasn't exactly changed and I came to the conclusion that snowshoeing was fun; but those contraptions you have to wear (a.k.a. snowshoes) add at least 5 pounds to my already heavy snow boots. Therefore walking becomes a strenuous activity; or it does for the less in shape folks such as myself. Now, observe our snow fun!

A little live action shot for ya, we were so close that the water was spraying all over us. I felt like I was at Sea World. That may or may not be an exaggeration. 

In the evening we attended our ward's Valentine's Day dinner. It was put on by the wonderful men in our ward and it was so fun. It was a night of dinner and dancing, and red velvet cake. My favorite cake EVER. The best part of the evening was receiving a love letter from my husband; the worst part was crying after receiving it. What am I supposed to do? I'm an emotional creature to begin with and then pair that with a romantic love letter and there are bound to be tears. It's a risk I'm willing to take to receive words of adoration from the best husband around.

All in all; it was a day worth remembering.
