Day 3 was nice and relaxed due to the fact that we were all tired, and were running out of things to do. I know right? After only 2 days in Provo. In Provo's defense, we ran out of things to do in the small amount of time we had before I had to go to work. Not a single one of us ever claimed we were morning people so sleeping in is treasured. What we did do that was much needed was get my laundry done. My whole family helped with the process. First, my mom and I walked over to the laundromat and put them all in. 40 minutes later, Alex and I returned to rotate the clothes through the dryer. Lastly, my dad and I returned another 40 minutes later and bagged them up to take them home. Seems like a mundane task, and it really is but I think it gave my parents a chance to reminisce about the "good ol' days" back when they were dirt poor like us. Another wonderful feature they reminisced about? Our lack of a counter. My mom did most of the cooking while they were here (bless her heart) and more than once I heard "if only I had some more counter space...". Welcome to my world.
When I got picked up after work, my dad informed me we had to buy a power strip cord thing (you know, that cord that has multiple outlets and an "on/off" switch; yeah, that one). I asked myself "why? Can't you wait until you get home to run errands?". Well turns out the cord was for us because... MY PARENTS BOUGHT US A TV STAND SO WE COULD FINALLY USE OUR TV!!!! Pretty sweet right? It doesn't stop there, they also got us a DVD player because we don't actually get cable so the TV is useless without a DVD player. Jackpot.
So because my parents are awesome and got us hooked up, we watched "The Guardians" that night. It was a really cute movie that I definitely recommend. All in all Day 3 was a success. A relaxing day that ended in our family's favorite activity: movie watching.
